Animals of the Rainforest
Today was neat ..... There was an "Animals of the Rainforest" show at OBES (Olive Branch Elementary School). Abby's favorite animal was the armadilla because it had nine bands and was gray. I liked the albino python (though I would not have been part of the row of kids who helped hold it) because it was pretty orangish/yellowish colors. The giant hissing madagascar roaches were neat too. I could see them on the kid's shoulders all the way from the back of the cafeteria.

Roll Tide Roll!!
A very exciting game this weekend (11/8/2008) has Alabama at 10 - 0 and currently ranked #1 in the country!! Whoopeee!! Who would have thought it would have happened so fast?! I figured the year after the upcoming one they would be in the national title talk -- no way I figured it to be this year.
Nicholas' choir sang at the Oxford choir festival Saturday evening. They got Superior ratings and he thought they did well. Apparently, however, they were not graceful with their entry onto the stage. They lined up off center and then one of them slipped when they were scooting to get centered. I missed it all because I was watching the Alabama/LSU game. Can you say "bad mama"?
Johnathan played saxophone with the middle school band Friday night with the high school band on the field. Combining the middle school and high school bands made a VERY LARGE and loud sounding band some 345 members strong. I thought it was really neat and recorded one of the songs on my phone. I let Johnathan hear it thinking I'd done good but he said that he wasn't playing on that song.
Abby tried catfish for the first time at school for lunch today. She asked about the cactus food. April told her that it was "catfish". Abby said that was good because she didn't like cactuses in the desert. As it turned out, she didn't care for catfish from the Mississippi Delta either. She just ate one bite.
Gotta go for now.
